A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE NEED FOR THE MISSOURI STUDENTS ASSOCIATION TO ADVOCATE FOR THE STUDENT INTEREST AT THE MUNICIPAL LEVEL

PURPOSE: To express and reaffirm the need for the Missouri Students Association to advocate for the student interest at the municipal level.

WHEREAS, The Missouri Students Association is the largest undergraduate student government, representing approximately 27,000 students at the University of Missouri; AND

WHEREAS, The majority of the student population resides in Columbia, Missouri; AND

WHEREAS, The decisions made by The City of Columbia heavily impact the student body; AND

WHEREAS, The Missouri Students Association is responsible for investigating student concerns on and off campus and developing solutions to those concerns,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MISSOURI STUDENTS ASSOCIATION that: The Missouri Students Association represents the student voice on municipal issues.
