AN ACT TO AMEND THE RULES OF THE MISSOURI STUDENTS ASSOCIATION SENATE

PURPOSE: To amend the Rules of the Missouri Students Association Senate to reflect a more efficient and orderly process for conducting Full Senate.

WHEREAS, the Rules of the Missouri Students Association Senate is the document that entails how Full Senate is to be conducted; AND

WHEREAS, a role of the Missouri Students Association Operations Committee is to recommend revisions to any governing document of the Missouri Students Association according to Chapter II section 2.70(B)3 of the bylaws of the Missouri Students Association; AND

WHEREAS, the Rules of Senate contains several grammatical errors, inconsistencies, and vague terminologies; AND

WHEREAS, changes to the Rules of Senate reflect proper practices and terms for Full Senate; AND

WHEREAS, Rule 14 of the Rules of Senate requires that any amendments to the rules be subject to a three-fifths majority vote from the Senators present; AND

WHEREAS, proper procedural methods will allow for a more efficient and productive Full Senate.

THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE MISSOURI STUDENTS ASSOCIATION SENATE that the Rules of the Missouri Students Association Senate read as follows:
