AN ACT TO GRANT THE MSA SENATE TRAVEL FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,200

PURPOSE: Provide travel funding for a conference that could be beneficial to the future well-being of students.

WHEREAS: Chancellor Loftin has requested that the University send a student representative to the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Visit 2014 in Knoxville, TN alongside University and City of Columbia officials; AND

WHEREAS: it has been decided that Campus and Community Relations Chair Chad Phillips will be this representative; AND

WHEREAS: the student government should show a strong want to further ties with City of Columbia officials; AND

WHEREAS: this conference will help us talk about problems and solutions with the city while forming relationships and connections we have never before had.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MISSOURI STUDENTS ASSOCIATION SENATE that the MSA Senate be awarded funds in the amount of $1,200 from the MSA Travel Pool.
