 A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF A PEDESTRIAN WALKWAY ALONG ROCK QUARRY ROAD

 PURPOSE:  To show the student’s support for current or future plans the City of Columbia may have to construct a sidewalk on Rock Quarry Road.
WHEREAS, ideally the sidewalk will provide pedestrian’s safer access to the Rock Quarry Facility used by Tiger Pantry and Truman’s Closet; AND
WHEREAS, Currently pedestrians commute by walking on the shoulder of the collecting road near the intersection with Stadium Blvd.; AND
WHEREAS, Pedestrians using a sidewalk to commute to the Rock Quarry Facility is innately safer; AND

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MISSOURI STUDENTS ASSOCIATION SENATE that the association supports the implementation of plans that produce pedestrian walkways along Rock Quarry Road.
