A RESOLUTION CREATING THE NEW SENATOR CAUCAS

PURPOSE:  To create a recurring orientation program for new senators.

WHEREAS, many new senators can be daunted by the size, acronyms, and responsibilities of their position; AND

WHEREAS, an orientation program will allow new senators the knowledge necessary to begin their projects, ideas, and better represent the students; AND

WHEREAS, the orientation program will meet no more than once a week; AND

WHEREAS, the chair shall be a non senate committee chair selected by the MSA Senate Speaker; AND

WHEREAS, attendance at this caucus will be encouraged but not required; AND

WHEREAS, the caucus will use the “How To Be A Senator” Handbook as a model text; AND

WHEREAS, the chair will strive to keep this caucus concise.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MISSOURI STUDENTS ASSOCIATION HERE ASSEMBLED that The New Senator Caucus, herein described, be formed.
