AN ACT TO AMEND 51ST SESSION BYLAWS CHAPTER II

PURPOSE: To change the rhetoric of the 51st Session Bylaw Chapter II.

WHEREAS, The current bylaws mandate only three hours; AND

WHEREAS, Committee Chairs are more accountable if they allocate a minimum of six office hours; AND

WHEREAS, A six hour minimum is already currently enforced.

THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED BY THE MISSOURI STUDENT ASSOCIATION SENATE that Chapter 2.6(b)(3)(f) be amended to read as follows:

(f) Submit a report by the first full Senate meeting of every semester outlining the agenda and legislative goals for their committees in that semester, as well as a list of targeted steps and a timeline for accomplishing that agenda, and a schedule of office hours for the semester. A hardcopy of this report shall be submitted to the Speaker. Each chair is required to hold at least six office hours each week at consistent times.
