 AN ACT ESTABLISHING AN AUDIT SCHEDULE FOR THE INSPECTOR GENERAL 

WHEREAS, the Office of Inspector General was created as a nonpartisan, third-party entity to carry out audits within the Missouri Students Association, and

WHEREAS, Chapter 8.10, Section H is set aside for an audit schedule, but is currently blank, and

WHEREAS, no provision is currently made in the event of the Inspector General leaving office without completing the aforementioned audit schedule,

THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE MISSOURI STUDENTS ASSOCIATION SENATE, THAT Chapter 8.10, Section H be amended to read as follows:

(H) AUDIT SCHEDULE-

  1. The Inspector General shall audit the following entities on a three-semester rotating basis:
  • SEMESTER I
    • Board of Election Commissioners
    • Student Government Advisor
    • Student Fee Review Committee
    • MSA Computers
    • Student Curator
    • Department of Student Services
    • Student Court
  • SEMESTER II
    • MUTV
    • KCOU
    • Design Center
    • Box Office
    • Craft Studio
    • Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention Center
    • Department of Student Communication
    • Senate
  • SEMESTER III
    • MSA Tech Support
    • STRIPES
    • MSA Web Develop
    • MSA General Operation
    • Contingency & Reserve
    • Student Legal Services
    • Department Student Activities
    • Executive Branch General Operating

 

  1. Upon completion of the three-semester audit schedule outlined in subsection a, the Inspector General shall start the cycle again and continue carrying out the audit schedule in this manner until leaving office.
  2. Should the Inspector General resign or be otherwise removed from office before the audit cycle outlined in subsection a is completed, the new Inspector General, upon confirmation, shall continue the cycle from where the previous Inspector General left off, including finishing any incomplete audits from the current semester.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, THAT the current Inspector General be excused from adhering strictly to this schedule for the Spring 2010 semester, as the current occupant has yet to gain PeopleSoft access.
