Bill 49-21

An Act to Establish a Structured Computer Purchasing Plan for MSA

Whereas, given the high quantity of computers within MSA, it can be difficult to keep track of all of them, and,

Whereas, IT will not service any computers after 6 years, and,

Whereas, replacing these computers every 5 years will allow for them to be up to date with software, and keep them structured within a plan, and,

Whereas, building the financial structure for the computers into the yearly budget will allow for better purchasing plans, and,

Whereas, each financial request shall be build into individual departments or auxiliaries budget to allow for more transparency, and,

Whereas, the computer shall be purchased in the fall of the year they are to replaced, and,

Whereas, if a department or auxiliary feels that a computer does not need replacement, they can forego the option and plan for a replacement on their own in future years.

Therefore, let it be enacted by the Missouri Students Association to establish this computer purchasing plan for future budgetary years.

Respectfully submitted,

Colleen Hoffmann, MSA Vice President

Matt Sheppard, Budget Chair
