48-51: A Resolution to Summarize MSA Senate’s Fiscal Year 2010 Student Fee Recommendations

WHEREAS, As of December 10, 2008, campus entities receiving student fees have submitted the following documentation to the Student Fee Review Committee:

WHEREAS, As of December 10, 2008, MSA Senate has made the following student fee recommendations based on these documents and the advice of the Student Fee Review Committee:

WHEREAS, The University of Missouri System Board of Curators sets student fees collectively as the Student Activity Fee, Recreation Fee, and Health Service fee.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Missouri Students Association Senate recommends the following changes to the undergraduate Student Activity Fee for Fiscal Year 2010:
If CPI is:    0% or lower    1%    2%    3% or higher
MSA Senate recommends: (FY09 = $157.83)
-$1.70 =$156.13 for FY10
-$1.17 =$156.66 for FY10
-$0.73 =$157.10 for FY10
-$0.25 =$157.58 for FY10

THEREFORE, be it further resolved that MSA Senate recommends the following changes to the Recreation Fee for Fiscal Year 2010:
If CPI is:    0% or lower    1%    2%    3% or higher
MSA Senate recommends:
(FY09 = $133.11)    +$0.00
=$133.11 for FY10    +$0.00
=$133.11 for FY10    +$0.00
=$133.11 for FY10    +$0.00
=$133.11 for FY10

THEREFORE, be it further resolved that MSA Senate recommends the following changes to the Student Health Fee for Fiscal Year 2010:
If CPI is:    0% or lower    1%    2%    3% or higher
MSA Senate recommends:
(FY09 = $92.78)    +$0.00
=$92.78 for FY10    +$0.93
=$93.71 for FY10    +$1.86
=$94.64 for FY10    +$2.78
= $95.56 for FY10

THEREFORE, be it further resolved that these recommendations are applied proportionately for CPI between 0% and 1%, between 1% and 2%, and between 2% and 3%, and
THEREFORE, be it further resolved that for the purpose of these recommendations, CPI refers to the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index from January 2008 to January 2009 as defined by the Missouri Higher Education Student Funding Act of 2007.
