48-102: An Act to Change the MSA Senate Excuse Policy

WHEREAS it is the duty of all MSA Senators to represent their constituencies at committee and full Senate meetings, and

WHEREAS Senators cannot represent their constituencies if they do not attend these meetings,

THEREFORE, let the MSA Bylaws 2.20(A)(3) be amended to the following:

2.20 REMOVAL FROM OFFICE

(A) REASONS FOR REMOVAL—A Senator may be removed from office for only the following reasons:

(3) 4 or more absences from MSA Senate and committee meetings combined without sending a proxy, documented medical, or academic excuse. Attendance records shall start over in the winter semester of the session.
