WHEREAS, feedback allows undergraduates to voice concerns about the direction of the course early in the semester, and

WHEREAS, increased feedback allows Graduate Assistants make adjustments to instruction style, including but not limited to language proficiency, and

WHEREAS, MSA represents in the interests of undergraduate students of the University of Missouri, and

WHEREAS, use of MoCAT evaluations are decidedly in the interest of undergraduate students, and

WHEREAS, increased use of MoCAT evaluations improves the ability of Graduate Assistants to instruct and undergraduates to learn, and

WHEREAS any process that improves learning at the University of Missouri is generally seen by the committee as beneficial to the University.

THEREFORE, be it resolved that MoCAT evaluations be implemented for a sample of selected departments across campus, and

THEREFORE, be it further resolved that these evaluations be mandatory for courses led partially or wholly by Graduate Assistants in those respective departments, and

THEREFORE, be it further resolved these departments will selected by MSA Academic Affairs Committee, Faculty Council, Graduate Professional Council, the Office of the Vice-Provost for Undergraduate Studies, Graduate Faculty Senate and the Missouri International Student Council, and

THEREFORE, be it further resolved that the pilot program be implemented by WS07 at the earliest and FS07 at the latest, and
